Mohd Yasir Khan is the President of KCLSU for 2022-2023 and the student member for the College Council. He is also a member of the Governance and Nominations Committee and Academic Board.
Yasir is an undergraduate student studying for a BA in International Relations at King's College London. He has been a Student Mentor and through social work at King's, he has worked to inspire students to consider their relationship with education as one that is linked with morality.
He has organised charity weeks for the Islamic Society and Afghan Welfare Society, has served as a committee member in different societies, and has been proactively involved in fundraising with societies. He has also represented KCLSU nationally in its work in tackling the cost-of-living crisis.
Yasir hopes to create a better environment for all students by addressing their financial situations so that they can develop and flourish without high-cost burdens.
He is proud that King’s works with KCLSU to push itself to acknowledge and address student voice at its highest governing body, the Council, and that it proactively engages in reinforcing equality, diversity and inclusion while making firm choices in achieving higher student success rates.
