Research Assistant

Biography

I have a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Medicine, Health and Public Policy.

Joined King’s as a master’s student in 2019, then as a Research Assistant for the Health Inequalities Research Group (HIRG) in January 2021.

Within this group, I primarily work on Phase 2 of the Tackling Inequalities and Discrimination Experiences in Health Services (TIDES) study, which examines the impact of COVID-19 on the experiences of inequality borne by BAME health and social care staff.

As a Research Assistant for this study, my main responsibilities include: the collection and analysis of primary data from qualitative interviews, data cleaning and data entry, and public engagement.

Research interests

  • Health inequalities and disparities in the UK and globally
  • Social determinants of health

Expertise and public engagement

Participated in data collection for a report with Better Medways in 2019, which aimed to research why take-up of LARC in the Medway area was lower than the national average.
