Biography

Neelu attained her bachelor’s degree at St. George’s university studying biomedical science. She went onto complete her MSc in Microbiology from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine with a secondment in Imperial College London.

Prior to starting her PhD studentship, she worked in Public Health England in as well as a researcher in UCL researching novel drugs for MDR tuberculosis.

She is currently a PhD student under the supervision of Dr Saeed Shoaie and Dr David Moyes working on the exploration of mycobiome using systems biology. She is working with big data and using bioinformatic tools to translate  multi-omics data to unpick the metabolic interaction within the mycobiome.
