Nicole obtained her BSc in Biomedical Sciences from Brunel University in London in 2014, followed by an MSc in Immunology from King’s College London in 2015. Nicole is currently pursuing a PhD investigating the epithelial signalling mechanisms activated by a novel cytolytic peptide toxin of Candida albicans. Her research specifically aims to characterise which early EGFR signalling events are induced by this peptide toxin in epithelial immunity. Her research interests include host-pathogen interactions, including key signalling events in epithelial cells upon C. albicans infection and the immunological responses of epithelial cells following challenge with C. albicans.
