Olivia obtained her BSc in Medical Science from Oxford Brookes University in 2016, followed by an Immunology MSc in 2018 at King’s College London. Olivia is currently pursuing a PhD with Dr Antoni Borysik, investigating the structure of the novel cytolytic peptide toxin, Candidalysin.
Her research specifically uses various mass spectrometry based approaches to study the peptide’s assembly and dynamics. The project is in collaboration with Professor Julian Naglik’s group, in which the goal is to characterize the membrane embedded peptide assemblies, in order to further understand the molecular basis of their toxicity.
