Rebecca is a Research Fellow at the Policy Institute. She is a quantitative social scientist with interests in a range of social policy issues including obesity, ageing and housing.
Her current work focuses on social housing, impact investment, and the intersection between the two. As part of this work, she is exploring issues including how recent social policy has affected the lives of people in social housing, how local authorities are able to fulfil their homelessness prevention duties, and whether socially motivated private-sector investment in housing has a positive impact on households and social landlords.
Rebecca earned her PhD at the LBJ School at the University of Texas at Austin and her BSc and MPH from the University of Otago in New Zealand.
