Biography

I am currently investigating ageing and Alzheimer’s disease in adults with Down syndrome. During my PhD, I pioneered the use of functional near infared spectroscopy (fNIRS) to explore changes in brain function with age in this population. I am now funded by the NIHR Maudsley BRC to begin developing this work further.  

I joined KCL as a Research Assistant in September 2017, and began my current fellowship in March 2019.  

Areas of expertise: intellectual disability, cognitive testing, Alzheimer’s in Down syndrome.  

Previous teaching at UCL: guest lecture on MSc Dementia and Mental Health Sciences courses 

Qualifications: MSc Research Methods in Psychology (2012; UCL), PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience (2019; UCL)
