Sam joined King’s in February 2019 and is a Senior Lecturer within the Professional Law Institute at The Dickson Poon School of Law. Having obtained an LLB (Hons) from University College London, Sam qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 2001 and practiced as an international capital markets lawyer for a further 12 years (five as a partner) with leading international law firm, Simmons & Simmons LLP. Based predominately in London, Sam specialised in structured finance advice and transactions for the World’s largest banks. In 2012, Sam obtained a MSc in Psychology (with a focus on organisational psychology) from the University of East London and, in September 2014, joined BPP University to pursue her real passion – people and their professional development. Since that time, Sam has been bringing together her academic understanding of important organisational concepts, legal knowledge and business experience to design and teach courses within professional legal education.
