
Biography
Senan (Sam) Sekhon is a Research Affiliate in the Department of Mathematics at King’s College London.
Sam joined King’s in 2018 and completed his MSci in Mathematics with Theoretical Physics in 2022, under the supervision of Professor Christopher Herzog and Professor Benjamin Doyon. He went on to work as a quantitative researcher and developer, working in systematic fixed income and macro at Capstone Investment Advisors, then in commodities at Centrica Energy Trading at Quantile (now part of the London Stock Exchange Group).
Alongside working at the crossroads of academia and industry, Sam is also actively engaged in educational outreach. He is an advisor to Professor Dan Abramson OBE, and is currently assisting in the curation of a forthcoming degree programme aimed at cultivating the next generation of interdisciplinary mathematicians.
