Biography

Dr Stuart McKellar is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Infectious Diseases, School of Immunology & Microbial Sciences. 

Stuart received his M.Sci from the University of Glasgow and then moved to the University of Edinburgh to attain his PhD under the supervision of Dr Sander Granneman. Here, Stuart studied the roles of non-coding RNAs in regulating virulence in Staphylococcus aureus. Stuart moved to King’s in 2021 to work in Dr Hannah Mischo’s laboratory to investigate how influenza A virus overcomes the defences of its host cell.
