Sylvine completed a BSc and MSc in Biotechnology (2009-2014) from India. She undertook MRes in Cancer Studies at Newcastle University in 2015 and graduated with a Distinction in 2016. Sylvine's MRes research project title was “Studying the role of TNF signaling in T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia,” and was conducted at the Northern Institute for Cancer Research, Newcastle. She joined Taams lab in October 2016 as a Research Assistant as part of an Arthritis Research UK programme grant which investigates the molecular mechanisms behind the influence of TNF blockade on IL-10 expression in CD4+ T cells.
