Biography

Graduated from my master’s at KCL in 2018. I have now (since the 1st of September) joined as a Researcher in the project looking at Public Health England ARC. Prior to working in the IoPPN I worked at KCL in both the Institute of Policy and the KCL Careers Service.

I also taught the history of Indian decolonisation and Postcolonialism, practice and theory at SOAS.

Research Interests

  • The movement of medicine and disease in the globalised world prior to European globalisation and the colonial legacies that came after it.
  • The discrepancies based on socio-economic and racial factors in terms of access to health and social welfare.

Expertise and Public Engagement

I have been a consultant for the British Museum in lieu of their new Islamic galleries opening and their existing African collection and worked in communicating the history in a socially accepted manner whilst making sure to be respectful of the cultures and religions involved.
