Biography

Angel Wong is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Psychiatric Biogerontology & Translational Medicine Group at the Social, Genetic & Developmental Psychiatry Centre at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King's College London.

Angel completed a DPhil in Population Health at the University of Oxford, followed by an Early Career Research Fellowship at the Nuffield Department of Population Health, where she investigated how sleep characteristics influence the risk of age-related diseases.

Her research leverages classical and genetic epidemiological approaches to identify modifiable factors that contribute to healthy ageing.

Her current work integrates multiple large-scale, population-based longitudinal cohorts with statistical genetics to explore protective and risk factors for telomere shortening, a phenotype closely linked with biological ageing. She also has experience in teaching and postgraduate student supervision.
