Biography
Professor William Yule first came to the Institute of Psychiatry (IoP) in 1962 to complete a one year Diploma in Clinical Psychology. Upon finishing the Diploma, he began a research job with Jack Tizard CBE in the Medical Research Council (MRC) unit based at the IoP. Following working at the Institute of Education at the University of London in 1964, Professor Yule returned to the IoP as a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology in 1969. His area of expertise is clinical child psychology.
Professor Yule completed his MA at the University of Aberdeen; Dip Psychol at the IoP and his PhD at the University of London.

- Needs of Refugees
Expertise and Public Engagement:
Professor Yule is a founder member of many professional groups; editor of various journals; Chaired BPsS Presidential Task Force on needs of refugees (2017); Founder of Children and War Foundation (www.childrenandwar.org)
