Biography

Dr Xiaoyu Zheng is a Research Scientist in Machine Learning for Wearables at King’s College London and an Honorary Research Fellow at Queen Mary University of London.

Dr. Zheng holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and Machine Learning from Loughborough University, where he developed ML frameworks for real-time wearable opto-physiological monitoring, and an MSc in Embedded Systems Engineering from the University of Leeds. He works on AI for medical imaging and biomedical signal processing, with a specialization in multimodal AI and foundation models.

His research interests lie at the intersection of machine and deep learning, biomedical signal and image processing, medical image analysis, foundation models, multimodal wearable sensor data analysis, and embedded systems for wearable devices.
