Xianqiang Bao received a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China, in 2019. He is currently a Research Fellow with the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences, King’s College London. His research interests include medical robotics, force control and haptic feedback. During his doctoral course, he developed two types of vascular intervention surgery robots and a novel haptic device. One of the robots was evaluated through animal experiments and in human experiments.
