Pre-sessional Accommodation

Students studying on the 11-week and 6-week programmes will be offered the option to arrive in London from late July for some on-campus activity, in line with visa regulations. If you are one of these students, you are guaranteed accommodation. If you successfully complete your Pre-sessional course, you are also guaranteed accommodation at a King's residence for the first year of your degree, provided you apply by the specified date.

You can register your details for accommodation via the accommodation portal found on Kings Accommodation website. Following registration, contact King’s Residences to confirm your arrival date and your preferred accommodation for your Pre-sessional/first year of your degree. You will then be required to make a pre-payment of rent of £450.00. This pre-payment will be used towards your Pre-sessional accommodation costs.

At present we are planning for some on-campus activity to take place from late July.

If you are unable to travel to the UK for reasons outside of your control, such as covid-19 restrictions, you will also receive a refund on your accommodation pre-payment.

More information about booking accommodation, choosing the right location and living in London will be sent to you in due course, or you can find out more on the King’s Accommodation website.

Accommodation and quarantine

Depending on where you are travelling from, the UK government may need you to quarantine for 10 days when you arrive in the UK. Up-to-date quarantine information is available from the Government website here, and more information on quarantine rules can be found here.

When you arrive at your King’s residence, if are going to quarantine in your room, the team will supply you with a food pack for approx. 3 days of meals to allow you time to get to know how to organise your own food deliveries from local takeaways or supermarkets. All deliveries and any post or parcels you receive will be brought to your room door during your quarantine period by our team. The reception team will be available to assist you with this.

You will also receive a number of phone calls to check you have what you need and to answer any questions you may have. To help you get to know the city, we will also share information with you about how to join online activities and events, which range from fun games to virtual tours of London landmarks. Our welfare leads are also available to support you if you need them.
