Researching Emotional Disorders and Development Lab

The Researching Emotional Disorders and Development (REDD) Lab is a research group led by Dr Jennifer Lau. We study typical and atypical development of emotional and social behaviour across childhood and adolescence. We focus on why some young people experience more difficulties during this period than others

Experimental And Social Psychology Research Group (EASY)

Our research predominantly takes an experimental approach to address questions of relevance to cognitive and social psychology. With a strong focus on experimental design to identify causal relationships our work addresses questions relating to social cognition, imitation, empathy, theory of mind, emotion, motivations, decision making, and learning.

Centre for Global Mental Health

The Centre for Global Mental Health addresses mental health disorders in the community, patterns of help-seeking, and health system responses.

King's Health Economics

King's Health Economics, led by Professor Paul McCrone (Director) and Professor Sarah Byford (Deputy Director), consists of a team of health economists with expertise in designing and conducting high quality economic evaluations of healthcare programmes and policies. The results of our work contribute to policy-making and healthcare practice in UK and abroad, and we promote the use of rigorous evaluation techniques through a programme of teaching and training.

Health Psychology section

The Health Psychology section at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience has been influential in the evolution of Health Psychology as a discipline in the UK.  We are internationally recognised for excellence in research and teaching, benefitting from collaborations within the IoPPN, a world renowned research centre for Psychology, Psychiatry and Neuroscience, as well as with the KCL School of Medicine and Life Sciences, the Dental Institute, and the School of Nursing and Midwifery. This inter-disciplinary practice is also demonstrated by clinical and research partnerships with King's Health Partners. 

Centre for Implementation Science

The Centre for Implementation Science is home to a team of expert implementation and improvement science researchers, including health economists and statisticians. This team are investigating how best to help ‘implement’ evidence-based practice and clinical research within health services nationally and internationally.

King's Health Economics

King's Health Economics, led by Professor Sarah Byford (Director), Dr Barbara Barrett (Deputy Director) and Dr Mark Pennington (Deputy Director), consists of a team of health economists with expertise in designing and conducting high quality economic evaluations of healthcare programmes and policies that contribute to healthcare policy and practice in the UK and abroad.
