Aims
To develop future clinical academics and to conduct research generating rigorous evidence that improves the outcomes and experience of patients and their family members across the trajectory of critical illness.
Research Themes
- Critical care survivorship including physical, psychological and cognitive recovery and rehabilitation and support for families
- Supporting ICU teamwork to facilitate patient and family centred care
- Digital innovation in ICU patient and family centred care, support, and education
- Symptom assessment and management including sedation, analgesia, delirium prevention, dyspnoea and fatigue
- Interventions to promote patient and family communication
- ICU design including Fresh Air Therapy
