Centre for Ultrastructural Imaging

Electron microscope services for internal and external collaborators from academic, commercial and industrial fields, and diagnostic services for NHS trusts.

King's College London & Guy's and St Thomas' PET Centre

The PET Centre within the School of Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Sciences hosts three clinical PET-CTs and one simultaneous PET-MR, cyclotron and radiochemistry facilities, and associated equipment for state-of-the art imaging research.

Microscopy Innovation Centre

The Microscopy Innovation Centre (MIC) collaborates with academic and industrial partners to develop advanced microscopy instrumentation and complementary analysis tools. The MIC provides researchers with access to cutting-edge custom microscope systems to support their advanced imaging needs, while assisting microscope designers by providing an environment where their novel systems can be tested by the wider imaging community

MRI at the Centre for Neuroimaging Sciences and NIHR/Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility

Specialising in cutting-edge Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of psychiatric and neurological disorders, our facilities house multiple MRI scanners, all of which are enabled for functional, spectroscopic, anatomical and pathological mapping techniques. Healthy controls and ambulatory patients can be investigated on all scanners, and a dedicated scanner within the NIHR/Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility at King's College Hospital offers additional facilities tailored to acutely ill subjects and the delivery of clinical trials.

Nikon Imaging Centre

The Nikon Imaging Centre at King's College London (NIC@King's) is a core facility for light microscopy developed in partnership between King's College London and Nikon Instruments UK.

Physics Research Facility

The facility is a collection of instruments and equipment that are accessible to researchers from King's, the London Centre for Nanotechnology (LCN) and elsewhere.

Stem Cell Hotel

The 'Stem Cell Hotel' provides dedicated laboratory space for collaborative studies of genotype/phenotype interactions in cells from healthy individuals and disease cohorts.

The London Metallomics Facility

The London Metallomics Facility (LMF) is a newly created Wellcome Trust and King's College London supported core facility, whose aim is to be a centralised hub for comprehensive multi-institutional integration of state-of-the-art metallomic analysis and correlative bioimaging, establishing direct interaction between leading research groups, commercial partners, and industry, whilst driving educational outreach and public engagement strategies.

Wohl Cellular Imaging Centre

Cutting-edge light microscopy equipment and support for the Neuroscience and Biomedical communities on the Denmark Hill campus of King's College London.

X-ray Crystallography

This facility is based in the Structural Biology Section of the Randall Centre for Cell & Molecular Biophysics. Contact Professor Brian Sutton for further information.

ZEISS Multiphoton Microscope

Our bespoke Zeiss 7MP multiphoton microscope allows multicolour imaging with up to three excitation wavelengths and eight detection channels and is optimised for in vivo imaging.
