PharmaGHaSTS Research Network: Critical Social Science of Pharmaceuticals at the Intersection of Global Health and Science, Technology, and Society

Map of the World made out of pills

PharmaGHaSTS is a Research Network of critical social scientists investigating pharmaceuticals and related technologies including diagnostics and vaccines, at the intersection of global health and science, technology, and society.

We are interested both in understanding how the current system is broken, failing to meet the needs of the world’s majority, and in alternative models of pharmaceutical research, development, and manufacturing that would advance aspirations for health equity and justice.

With the support of a partnership seed fund across Université Paris-Cité and King’s College London, the network builds on existing expertise in the areas of Global Health (GH) and Science, Technology and Society (STS).

The PharmaGHaSTS Research Network to foster the flourishing of researchers across career levels and achieve international impact beyond the academy.
