The Autism & Development Research Group aim to increase the understanding of cognitive and behavioural development in individuals with autism and the factors that influence this over time.

Our research interests extend from the basic science of cognitive development and behaviour to the clinical application of this work via screening, diagnostic, epidemiological, intervention, and ‘at risk’ studies.

Our work is funded by the MRC, NIHR, EC Horizon 2020 and Autistica. We have long-term ongoing projects with Birkbeck College London and the University of Cambridge; and actively collaborate with many labs in Europe and North America.
