The Sharpe Lab studies mechanisms of acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease, aiming to develop better preventive strategies and new drugs for more efficacious treatment. We are particularly interested in the mechanisms that lead to renal fibrosis and have research interests in cell signalling, metabolomics and the endothelial glycocalyx.
