Related activities: Dr Kuhrt is co-convenor of the British International Studies Association (BISA) Working Group on Russian and Eurasian Security. The group was established in January 2011 in response to the perceived need to bring together area studies expertise on the former Soviet Union and those working on similar issues but in areas of security studies and international relations. The WG regularly convenes panels at the BISA annual conference as well as at the ISA conference. In addition, the WG has held workshops on themes relating to Russian and Eurasian security, including with members of the practitioner community.
