'Online support for carers of people with younger onset dementia: The RHAPSODY project' - Dr Bridget Jones (University of Surrey)

The RHAPSODY (Research to Assess Policies and Strategies for Dementia in the Young) project involved England, France, Germany, Portugal, Sweden and The Netherlands in collaborative research to develop an online programme of information and support for informal carers of people diagnosed with younger onset dementia. Bridget will present findings from a feasibility study conducted in England, France and Germany, which indicated that carers found the programme acceptable and accessible.

'Mobile microlearning in homecare' - Sara Dunn (CuppaCare)

Mobile microlearning is bitesize digital learning accessed via mobile devices. It is typically used to support performance, for example as a job aid used in the flow of work, as well as formal training and informal learning. Sara Dunn and Alex Braddell have been piloting CuppaCare, the first mobile microlearning system aimed at homecare workers, since 2018. In this presentation, they describe how CuppaCare fits into the paths to competence for homecare workers, and discuss findings from provider piloting.
