Jane Tunstill

Professor Jane Tunstill

Jane is the Making Research Count (MRC) Children’s Adviser, having, over a long career researched, written and taught extensively on child welfare and social work. A founder member of Making Research Count, she works with MRC at King’s to maintain close links with local authorities and voluntary agencies as they evolve their research literacy and knowledge dissemination strategies in the context of current government policy. Her long record of research on early intervention, family support, and children’s centres (including directing the Implementation Module of the National Evaluation of Sure Start) means she is asked to provide expert input to agencies and projects. This includes input to agencies developing frameworks for identifying interim outcomes for child and family support services.

Jane is Emeritus Professor of Social Work at Royal Holloway, London University, and a member of the Association of Professors of Social Work.
