National & International Security

The School of Security Studies is home to a dynamic community of academics and post graduate and early career researchers focused on a wide range of issues relating to National and International Security. Their activities are coordinated and supported by the National and International Security Theme lead.

The research groups and Centres host academics, researchers, and affiliates who are producing world-class research on many of the most consequential and significant security-related issues that the world faces – including surveillance, radicalisation, and ethics – and who are also actively engaged in sharing this research with audiences outside King’s.

This community of researchers is characterised by diversity, interdisciplinarity, and drive to collaborate with partners in academia, government, industry, and beyond. The objective of the Theme is to maximise the coordination and collaboration that occurs within King’s, and the exposure of our research within the broader security community.
