The course offers an in-depth exploration of a subject area at degree level, and improve students’ understanding of university study. Our courses provide insight into the key debates, themes and cutting edge research areas of a subject. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate on group assignments and experience social learning which are central elements of undergraduate study.
The full fee includes 11-nights in King's accommodation.
What does this course cover?
Are you fascinated by the study of the mind and the human brain? For psychologists, this is one of the most exciting and important areas of advancing medical science. This course will encourage you to think critically and adopt problem-based learning to see how insights from research can be applied to real world issues. Our Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience is one of the world’s leading centres for interdisciplinary research in psychiatry and psychology, and you will gain a valuable insight into this field of study.
There will also be Academic Skills sessions which are designed to equip students with some of the skills that they will need at university, as well as to help them to prepare for their own assignments that they need to pass to complete the course. In addition, all students will participate in the Global Challenge. This interdisciplinary project is structured to help students further in developing essential academic skills (critical, academic reading, independent research skills and writing for different audiences) needed at university. It is also designed to foster students’ collaborative research skills.
