Move Your Mind aims to promote improved physical and mental health to the King's Community; offering classes, courses and exclusive events that focus on the connection between 'mind' with 'body' and therefore improve overall health and wellbeing.

Online Classes 

From Monday 9 November we will be offering our online classes to all of the King's Community (staff, students alumni & health partners) free of charge during the lockdown. 

We offer a variety of wellness classes across our programmes, giving everyone a chance to get involved in the following:

  • Meditation: 15 minute guided sessions found at various times throughout the week
  • Journaling: hourly sessions with a wellness coach prompting you to get pen to paper to help manage thoughts and feelings more clearly.
  • Yin yoga: also called restorative or slow yoga, these sessions incorporate asanas (postures) that are specifically designed to alleviate tension and stress throughout the body.

 

To get access to our classes, firstly sign up for a free membership, once your membership is set up you can start booking your place for our online classes, we will then send you the information on how to attend the class.

Move Your Mind: Journey to Wellness 4-week Programme

At King's Sport we are aware that the current measures and constraints are becoming increasingly difficult for our community, especially during the winter months. Therefore, we have collaborated with wellness coach, Stefana, to offer an online 4 week 'Journey to Wellness' programme free to all King's staff and students - no membership is required.

The four week wellness journey offers tailored wellness and mindfulness sessions. Each week will focus around a particular topic - the aim is to create clear goals and direction, bring higher self awareness and create more connection between our community.

To ensure the course is meaningful we will sent a short questionnaire at the beginning and end of the programme to measure the impact and gather any feedback.

Finally, we want to highlight that there is no commitment needed, so although we ask you to sign up for the month, if you decide it is not right for you we respect your decision to leave at any point during the course.

The programme starts from Monday 2nd and ends on Friday 27th November.
