Akinbode Fasakin

Akinbode Fasakin holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in International Relations from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He also successfully defended a Master of Science Degree (MSc) thesis in International Relations from the same University in 2012. Akinbode has contributed to knowledge in some of the articles and book chapters he has written. These include “NGOs and Corruption in Nigeria’s Public Sphere”, “State and Democratisation in Nigeria” (forthcoming) and “Opposition or Opportunism? Political Parties and the Consolidation of liberal Democracy in Nigeria” (forthcoming). In the Nigerian 2011 general elections, he worked as a field researcher, gathering data on the conduct of the elections, with a view to assessing the electoral process in Nigeria. For over a year, he worked with the Obafemi Awolowo Centre for Distance Learning as in the Programme’s unit helping out with the administration and management of the University Centre programmes.
