Biography

Mekuria is a Lecturer at Kotebe Metropolitan University, PhD Candidate at Addis Ababa University and Research Associate with King's’s BRACED Research in Ethiopia.

He is responsible for field data collection on BRACED-research in Ethiopia. He is responsible for participating in consortium’s workshops carried in country on the behalf of King's/AAU and providing King's with regular updates.

Mekuria Delelegn is currently a PhD candidate at the AAU. His PhD research is entitled  “Comparative analysis on households’ vulnerability and resilience to climate change in the pastoral and agro-pastoral areas of Ethiopia; case studies from Oromia Regions of Harergie and Arsi  Zones”.

He joined Baher Dar University in 2007 and graduated in BEd Degree in Geography and Environmental Studies. He was awarded a Gold Medal by the university college for his excellent academic records on 5 July 2010. He started teaching at Kotebe Metropolitan University as Assistant Lecturer in July 2010. He obtained his Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Addis Ababa University in 2012.

Then, Mekuria continued serving different public and private organisations including Kotebe Metropolitan University, National Examination Agency and Kuraz Publishing Agency in Ethiopia. He joined Addis Ababa University, Department of Geography and Environmental Studies, for his PhD in September 2014 to pursue his education specialization in Socioeconomic Development Planning and Environment.
