Natural Hazards and Society - Summer School
Posted on 27/02/2013
Geography PhD students Joel Gill and Faith Taylor are running a course in the KCL summer school this year on the topic of “Natural Hazards and Society”. Over a three week period, students will gain a broad overview of the origin, monitoring and measuring of multiple hazard types, what drives vulnerability and how it can be reduced and what tools are available to visualise natural hazards and their impacts. This course is principally aimed at international students in their first or second years of undergraduate degrees who have an interest in earth sciences, international development, politics, insurance or the media. Joel and Faith are very much looking forward to running the course!
Full details of the course are online.
