Undergraduate students Adelaide Goodeve and Giulia Cardoso have managed to secure £1000 through the King’s Experience Student Opportunity Fund for Intrepid Explorers’ newest project – the Jurassic Coast Microadventure. The Fund aims at supporting activities that enhance students’ academic experience and strengthen relationships between students and lecturers.

The Jurassic Coast Microadventure will be Intrepid Explorers’ welcome to new Geography students and welcome back to everyone else. Intrepid Explorers have teamed up with Professor Nick Drake and Dr Mike Chadwick to lead an insightful weekend exploring the Jurassic Coast and Portland. For a whole weekend, participants will discover the area through fossil hunting sessions, aquatic ecology observations, pub talks and many other activities that will emphasize and celebrate geographical fieldwork and exploration.
