New Geography masters students enjoyed an excursion to London's Green Belt on September 18 as part of Induction Week. The theme of the day was the social consequences of Green Belt policy, but it was also an opportunity for people to make new friends from across the full range of programmes offered by the Department. After a sandwich lunch at the King's Arms in Shoreham they took in the view of the surrounding Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in bright sunshine, before following the River Darent  to Eynsford and a relaxing evening drink at the Malt Shovel Inn.
