MA/MSc Sustainable Cities students Group by the waterside in Stonebridge Pond Allotments

Postgraduate students in the cities group have opportunities throughout the year to take extracurricular field trips with Dr Richard Wiltshire, Director of the MA/MSc Sustainable Cities. The latest trip, on May 19 focussed on Faversham, a market town feeling the diverse impact of London's planned expansion towards the east. Highlights included a visit to Stonebridge Pond Allotments, perhaps the most scenic of their kind in England and a model of community-based urban food growing and, following a pub lunch, the chance to examine the impact of the brewing industry on the surrounding Kentish landscape.
