King's Middle Eastern Studies achieves 95% overall satisfaction in sector-wide taught postgraduate survey

The Department of Middle Eastern Studies is delighted to have received a score of 95% for overall student satisfaction in the latest Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES). PTES is the only nationwide survey of its kind, designed to produce insights into the learning and teaching experience of taught postgraduate students across the UK higher education sector.

King's as a whole, and the Faculty of Social Science and Public Policy in particular, was rated highly by taught postgraduate students for overall satisfaction; however, the score achieved by DMES made it the best performing department in the faculty this year. The department was also rated highly on other indicators, including “teaching and learning” and “engagement”. Students who left feedback through the survey noted the department's diverse curriculum, the "very high standard of teaching and resources", and the experience of "being part of a department which makes the effort to get to know its students".
