Dr Florian Foos joined the Department of Political Economy at King's College London in January 2017 as a Lecturer in Politics. Previously, he was a post-doctoral researcher in Public Policy at the Department of Political Science at the University of Zurich. Florian holds a D.Phil (2015) from Nuffield College, University of Oxford.

Florian is a behavioural political scientist. He studies partisan election campaigns, predominantly in the UK and in Continental Europe, to identify the causal effects of formal and informal interactions between citizens, politicians and campaign workers on electoral mobilizationopinion change and political activism. He also has a research interest in party competition, and in behavioural public policy. His methodological expertise is in causal inference, and particularly in the design and conduct of randomized field experiments in co-operation with candidates and political parties, as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations.
