Upcoming Programmes 2015/16
Beginning in the academic year 2015/16, the Department of Political Economy will be offering the following undergraduate programmes:
The BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics
is a new multi-disciplinary programme at King’s. Co-taught with the Department of Philosophy
this degree should appeal to students who wish to study social phenomena from political, economic and philosophical perspectives. We are the only UK department of our kind and therefore King’s students have the advantage of being able to study a coherent and interlinked syllabus that is taught across two departments rather than three, as is more common.
Since the department’s inception in 2010, our teaching and research community has expanded rapidly and we now boast one of the strongest groups of political scientists in the country. As part of this expansion we will be launching a BA in Politics, a demanding programme that will give students a thorough understanding of political ideas and history and the relationship between political and economic processes in an international context.
Alongside the BA Politics, will be the BA/BSc in Political Economy. The degree will teach students to understand the relationship between political and economic processes as they are developing in the twenty-first century. Depending on their choice of options, students may graduate with a BA or a BSc.
