I am a Teaching Fellow for the Japan Programme in the Department of War Studies at King’s College London. Previously, I was a Research Associate at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS, Tokyo), a Country Director for JISP - a humanitarian organization based in Tohoku, Japan, and a Minister Assistant at the Israeli Foreign Service in Tokyo. I hold a PhD in International Relations from the University of Tokyo.

I have published on threat and risk perceptions in Asia, the motivation behind the public's support for increased military expenditures, and the psychological aspects of disaster resilience in the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
