The Department of War Studies is a unique institution and there is nowhere else you can study war and security in such breadth and depth. It has an outstanding national and international reputation and attracts students from all over the world to our diverse range of BA and MA programmes. It is a big department in a big city but we are proud of the community of students, teachers and researchers that we have built over many years. It is, as many students report, a special place to study.
And yet, we can always do more. The Department of War Studies solicits feedback from students on all aspects of their experiences at KCL. We conduct module evaluations, hold regular Staff-Student Liaison Committee meetings, listen to your personal feedback to teaching and professional services staff, and participate in the annual undergraduate National Student Survey (NSS) and Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES).
