The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force in the United Kingdom on 25 May 2018. Below you can find a brief description of how the School of Global Affairs communicates with you and how we process and use your personal data.
Communications from the School of Global Affairs
You may receive regular email messages with news, events, policy and business updates from the School and across King’s College London. We send this information to you on the basis of your position as a member of staff or student contracted to or enrolled at King’s.
The purpose of our communication to you is to provide you with relevant, timely and useful information important to the performance of your job role or which enriches your experience as a member of the King’s community.
We do not store your personal data (name and email address). We use the ‘Mailman’ mailing list system, centrally managed at King’s and updated via an HR database, to access your email address. We do not have access to further information about you and nor do we save or store email addresses.
If you do not wish to receive these communications
Receiving communications from your department, school and Faculty is an expectation upon you as a member of the King’s community. If you leave King’s and find that you are still receiving internal communication from the college in error, please contact the School Communications Officer.
