Exploring the sources of success in emerging economies as well as understand the major development challenges they continue to face, with regional expertise on Latin America and East/Southeast Asia.


king's brazil institute

Promoting an understanding of Brazil and developing the profile of Brazilian Studies, the Institute coordinates Brazil-related research capabilities and programmes of study at King's, while also building links with Brazilian organisations in education, the cultural and creative sectors, business and government.


king's india institute

The India Institute is committed to building India's human and intellectual capacities to address global issues on its own terms, foster long-range thinking on India's most essential dilemmas, and deepen international comprehension of the distinctive character of India's growth path and its challenges.


lau china institute

The Institute undertakes research in areas encompassing China’s globalisation, political economy, culture, history, and scientific traditions. The Institute has multi-faceted links with institutions, individuals and issues across Greater China.
