King's is also among the top seven UK universities for research earnings which, according to the latest confirmed figures, amounted to ca £155 million in 2011-2012.

A vibrant learning environment for PGR students

In addition to the PGR degree programmes offered at SSPP, we also organise a range of events and short courses to help students develop their skills even further, preparing them for a career within academia or with in the public or private sector;

  • Students may have the opportunity to participate in an SSPP Research Conference, either as organisers or speakers. In the past this has proven to be an excellent opportunity to practice conference presentations and to receive audience feedback alongside senior academics.
  • SSPP provides a Small Bursary [Intranet] fund to help fund a field trips for our PGR students to carry out original research, or for visiting research conferences in either UK or abroad to talk about their research.
