Help shape mental health and wellbeing strategy at King's

Three King's students walking together through Strand campus

Want to improve the experience of students and contribute to King’s whole-university approach to student mental health and wellbeing?

Our Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy team are recruiting an advisory panel, and there’s an opportunity for you to get involved! We’re looking for students to join us in co-creating a whole-university approach to student mental health and wellbeing. This is a paid opportunity.

You'll have the chance to collaborate on projects such as feeding into the King’s Wellbeing Survey, our University Mental Health Charter Award Annual Report, and collaborating with us on how we communicate our support services.

Here is what one of our members from last year’s panel had to say about their time on the board:

A culture of genuine care: It is incredibly encouraging to see firsthand how deeply King's values the student experience. The university isn’t just talking about mental health; they are actively bringing students to the table to co-create solutions and drive real policy changes."– First Year Medicine Student, 2025-6 Advisory Board Member

You'll join a panel of students that meet 5 - 6 times across the academic year for 1 - 2 hour meetings. Most of these will take place online. During the meetings you will participate in activities including feeding into the King’s Wellbeing Survey and our annual Student Minds Charter Award report, as well as collaborating with us on how we communicate our support services.

Each meeting will be accompanied by pre-reading outside of the session. You will be paid for your time during the meetings and work outside of the meetings. We will recommend a specific duration for each reading.

How do I apply?

To find out more and apply head to this link. Applications open on Monday 14 September and the deadline to apply is Friday 9 October. The first session will take place in early November.
