Bush House South west wing redevelopment 4

We’re excited to see the work on Bush House South West Wing (BHSWW) progressing, as we redevelop it to enhance our student and staff experience on our Strand campus. Not all the work is visible, but there’s lots going on behind the scenes.

Our next step is installing a crane to help build our Agora teaching space. Westminster City Council have told us this work will need to take place from Sunday 23 November-Tuesday 25 November.

What this means for our community

We’re not expecting this to cause too much noise or disruption. We’re putting some measures in place to keep our community safe while the crane is being installed:

  • Pedestrian diversions will be in place from Montreal Place, via Aldwych, so you may find it a bit busier than usual.

  • Barriers will be in place at the diversion on the Strand and marshals will be available at the site to show you the correct route.

  • The Strand pedestrianised area will be closed to vehicles on 24 and 25 November, with access only arrangements in place.

Why the work is taking place

We’re creating a welcoming and adaptable space designed around the needs of our community, right at the heart of the Strand. It’s part of our plans to improve our campuses to enhance the experience for our students and staff.
