Each year, the King’s Birthday Honours list recognises those who have made a positive impact on British life.

Michelle Agyemang, a decorated professional footballer and Business Management student at King’s, has been awarded an MBE for services to Association Football.

Michelle plays forward for Women’s Super League Club Arsenal and was part of the winning national team at the 2025 Euros.

At 20 years old, Michelle is the youngest recipient this year and is recognised alongside her Euro 2025 Lionesses teammates.

Michelle recently received King’s Future Alumni Award. She is also part of King’s Sport & Wellness Performance Athletes Programme.

I’m incredibly honoured and grateful to receive this recognition. Football has been a huge part of my life and I’m fortunate to do something I genuinely love. I’m thankful to God, my family, friends, coaches, teammates and everyone who has supported me along the way.– Michelle Agyemang
