Safety alert service test on Wednesday 22 April at 15.00

Two hands holding a phone. A white speech bubble containing three red exclamation marks emanates from the phone.

We are testing the King’s safety alert service on Wednesday 22 April at 15.00. You will receive an SMS message from ‘SafeZone’ and a notification from the SafeZone app if you have it installed.

This is part of our regular twice-yearly system testing, and you do not need to do anything when you receive the message(s). These are genuine safety alerts from King’s, so please do not block or report them as spam.

Get the most out of safety alerts with SafeZone

SafeZone is designed to keep you safe and give you extra peace of mind on campus.

Alongside receiving real-time notifications in an emergency, you can use the app to:

  • Check in anytime – let us know where you are on campus, especially if you’re studying or working alone.
  • Get help fast – use the app to discreetly call for support, whether you need first aid or urgent assistance.
  • Report concerns – if you notice something unusual, you can flag it directly in the app, with the option to stay anonymous.

We encourage everyone at King’s to download the SafeZone app, available for Android and iOS. Once you have downloaded the app, make sure to register using your King’s login to unlock all features.

More information about SafeZone is available on our website.
