King's student, Alexandra Bykova was awarded the prestigious Multilingual Undergraduate of the Year at the 2026 targetjobs Undergraduate of the Year Awards which celebrate the best of undergraduate talent across the UK.
Alexandra, a second-year Economics BSc student, speaks five languages and is a member of the KCL Capital Markets Society. She beat off competition from nine other category finalists to win a paid summer internship with Bloomberg. The opportunity offers winners hands-on experience and mentorship, as well as placing them in a good position to secure a role with the company following graduation.
Joining Alexandra were 10 other student finalists from King's in eight award categories - a record for the University at these awards - all of them demonstrating their skills in balancing their studies with extra-curricular activities and developing their career aspirations:

- Tyler Welby - History & International Relations BA, Undergraduate of the Year Celebrating Excellence through Future Skills
