Revision and Exam Strategies
The aims of this online workshop are to provide you with a selection of strategies to help you organise the notes you were writing throughout the module, writing revision notes, creating mind maps and implementing exam strategies for timed exams. The tutor will share tips and encourage students to share what has worked for them in terms of revision and exam preparation and management.
This interactive workshop is ideal for undergraduates new to study at King's, or returners who need a refresher for how to best approach revision and exams.
These workshops will all take place online.
Dates: Monday 20 April (16.00-17.00), Weds 29 April (14.00-15.00), Tuesday 5 May (16.00-17.00), Wednesday 13 May (11.00-12.00) & Tuesday 19 May (12.00-13.00)
Think like an Examiner!
In this workshop, the Academic Skills Tutor will guide you in decoding exam questions by looking at the Learning Objectives of your modules and thinking about these in relation to your programme or module marking criteria. From there, you will imagine, create and answer likely questions based on those key documents.
You will best benefit from this workshop by coming prepared with module details and some ideas. This one-hour session will suit any students wanting to prepare for and attempt to predict the types of assessment questions they might face.
These workshops are all online except for Monday 18 May which is taking place in-person in Bush House, Strand campus.
Dates: Tuesday 28 April (15.00-16.00), Friday 1 May (12.00-13.00), Wednesday 13 May (14.00-15.00) & Monday 18 May (16.00-17.00)
