We're excited to announce that from Monday 29 June 2026, room numbers and directional signage in the Strand Building (STR) will be updated to make the building easier to navigate.
The Strand Building is one of the busiest buildings on campus and is home to the main Strand Campus reception. We know it can sometimes be difficult to find your way around, especially for students, staff and visitors who are less familiar with the building.
The updated signage will help make routes clearer and support everyone using the building and nearby connected spaces.
One important update to note: while most levels in the Strand Building will be updated in June, a small number of spaces on LG1 are being redeveloped as part of a wider campus project. These areas will be updated by the end of summer, once construction is complete.
What’s next?
Start getting familiar with the new room numbers, especially for classrooms. We know it may take a little while to adjust, but the updated signage should help make finding your way around much easier.
